Abstract (EN)

With the death of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Muslims had ascribed special importance to the science of sīra and maghāzī as a requirement of understanding the religion they believed in, and they had been interested in writing sīra from early times. In this vein, It has been determined that different types of works about the life of Muhammad (PBUH) were written. These types of works were written in the context of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the importance of detecting the perception of the prophet in this works is undisputed. The interest in the science of sīra, which was seen in the area where Islam emerged at the beginning, also passed to the newly conquered regions in time. In this context, Andalusia is one of the important regions where there is an interest of the science of sīra and where works on this science are written. This study covers the Andalusian part of sīra writing and aims to focus on the nature of the motives that shape the Andalusian society's perception of the Prophet. In this respect, apart from the works of sīra -maghāzī, types of works such as delāil, ḥasāis, shamāil, mawlid, madh eulogies and istighāsa treatises, which are related to the life of Muhammad (PBUH) and evaluated within the scope of "Sīra Literature", are also included. Since this study focuses on the sīra literature by focusing on a certain geography, it recommends opening a different perspective to the field, and in a way, it deals with how the dynamics and social needs of the Andalusian worldview transform the sīra material. In this respect, this study is based on the research which was made in the literature of sīra and it is aimed to bring a different dimension to the efforts of the correct evaluation of the perception of the prophet. Keywords: İslamic History, Sīra-Maghāzī, Andalusia, Sīra Writing, Sīra Literature.
