Abstract (EN)

Al-Andalus had always been a prominent place in terms of Qira'at science. Especially, the efforts and contributions of Andalusian qira'at scholars who lived in the late Hijri fourth century and the third quarter of fifth century, are very valuable at this point. This was because they made a great impression with their works containing the seven Qira'ats and played a leading role in the embracement and spread of the relevant method in most regions of the Islamic world. Besides their contributions to the ingraining of the seven Qira'at methods, they also produced studies that can be described as reference in other sub-disciplines of this science such as Mushaf orthography, tajweed and waqf-ibtida. This study, which has named "Qira'at Science in Andulusia", deals with the position and role of al-Andalus in the science of qira'at from many aspects. Correspondingly; beginning from the stages of conquest until its full occupation, the historical course of the science of qira'at in this region has been analysed individually, and its developmental stages and factors are presented in detail. The sources of the relevant school, the preferred qira'at narrations in the aforementioned region and the determination of the methods applied in teaching are highlighted, and finally, the effects and contributions of the teachings and written works of the kurrâ of this geography, to the field of qira'at, have been analyzed. Keywords: al-Andalus, Science of Qira'at, Rihla, Nâfi's Qira'at, the Seven Qira'at, Spain.
