Abstract (EN)

Today, energy has become an indispensable element for the sustainability and development of human life. Most of the world's energy production is covered by fossil fuels. The limited reserves of fossil fuels, the increase in the world population and the speed of development of technology have made it necessary to find alternative energy sources. Biomass, one of the renewable energy sources, has an important place among alternative energy sources. In this study, copyrolysis was carried out using tomato waste and pea pods obtained from industrial processes. In the study, the thermal characterization, activation energies and presence of synergistic effects of wastes were examined using the thermogravimetric analysis method. The studies were carried out in the presence of nitrogen gas, at three different heating rates (5, 10 and 20 °C/min) and at five different pea (B)-tomato (D) mixture ratios (B%100-D0%; B%25-D%). 75; B%50-D%50; B%75-D%25 and B%0-D%100) were carried out. As a result of copyrolysis, the pyrolysis stages of the samples were determined. After the characteristic temperatures were determined for each sample in the active pyrolysis steps, activation energies were calculated over these temperatures using the model-free integral methods of Flynn-Wall-Ozawa, Starink and Friedman methods. As a result of the copyrolysis of pea pod and tomato waste samples, the presence of synergistic effects was examined.
