Abstract (EN)
THE APPLICATION OF INDUSTRIYEL TYPE ROBOTS IN TILING OF MOSAICS ABSTRACT Technologically developed countries are superior to less developed countries in terms of economics. To achieve an increase in development rate and compete with other countries, developing countries must have necessary technological hardware at hand. The use of newer technologies in Turkey is a necessity to compete with today's increasing demand for quality and price. In mosaic sector, a subsector of marble sector, the manufacturing is made by classical methods. Many problems are occurred during and after the manufacturing. This study is intended to contribute for solving manufacturing problems. The aim is to spread the use of automation system during the manufacturing of mosaics. Therefore, tiling of mosaics by an automated system is proposed and it's advantages and disadvantages are also discussed. Mitsubishi RV2AJ five axes robot arm system was used for the application and result showed that the system employed provides fast and efficient operation compared to classical system.
