Abstract (EN)
Due to developing modern technology and comfort-oriented lifestyle nowadays, consumption proportion of energy has increased rapidly. There have been many studies performed in order to use energy more efficiently and the emerging energy consumption rate to meet. The storage of heat energy and later its using that is one of main issues of the interested scientists for many years. A variety of methods have been used for this purpose. One of these methods also, during phase change (usually a solid-liquid phase) largely is the use of materials having the heat energy storing. Phase change materials are of great importance, heat energy in terms of can be stored and its can be used more efficiently. However, phase change materials are used in many fields nowadays, and its use has increased more and more. As is known, the use of motorcycles in the world is quite numerous. But, motorcycle riders attract in big trouble because of the temperatures increase occurring in helmets in summer. However, this occurring temperature increase also has affected negatively the driver's attention. In this case, the driver increases an accident risk during driving. In this study, this problem existing for the motorcycle driver to solve has designed a new generation of motorcycle helmets, and placing FDM the into of this designed helmet, the numerical analysis of FDM's melting process has been made. The helmet design, the creation of a network of designed helmet and analysis process have carried out using ANSYS FLUENT software package. In the study, three types of paraffin were used as FDM. In the result of performed analysis, has been compared to temperature values caused in helmet depending on the time of FDM and the liquid rates changing with time. At result of this comparison, the best cooling among FDM's used in the study have been shown to be providing of n-Nonadecane.
