Abstract (EN)
Energy is the material basis of human activities and is the lifeblood of the economic development of all countries in the world. In the new century, with the rapid economic development, China's total energy demand has increased significantly, and balancing the increasing energy demand has become important for energy security. Other Turkic republics except Turkey and Kyrgyzstan are rich in the fossil-based energy sources and the development of the national economy depend on energy export. The announcement of the New Silk Road project in 2013 created new opportunities for energy cooperation between the Turkish Republics and China, not only in the field of fossil energy resources but also in renewable energy resources. In this study, using energy resources data of the Turkic Republics and their energy cooperation with China, the possibilities and areas of cooperation between the two sides within the framework of the New Silk Road project were proposed. Through SWOT analysis of the energy cooperation between the two sides within the framework of the New Silk Road project, opinions, and suggestions on energy cooperation between the two sides were put forwarded. Keywords: China, Turkish Republics, Energy Resources, New Silk Road Project, Energy Cooperation.
