Abstract (EN)
For Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), lifetime maximization is one of the most important performance metrics. Occupation of maximum available power level for data transmission results in energy waste for the sensors which have limited battery energy. Therefore, in order to prolonge lifetime, optimum transmission power level should be assigned at link level. WSN nodes perform transmission power control by selecting one of the transmission power levels of the transceiver. Also, power level set of the transceiver has a significant role on energy efficieny at WSNs; however, transceivers are designed without considering their effects on WSN lifetime. In this thesis study, optimal transmission power level sets are investigated for lifetime maximization in WSNs.
