A study on basic disaster awareness of families which have disabled children (The case of Yalova)

In this study; the families, which have children with disabilities, basic disaster awareness for knowledge levels subject is approached in this context; subjects such as disabled, child, disaster, basic disaster awareness and specific questions are sought an answer. While doing research, literature, is believed to be related to the subject and is examined in the light of sources which are thought to contribute to researching and developing this subject, and in the context of found result, suggestions are offered. As a result of this study; the consequences: the necessity for being defined as disadvantaged groups disabled people and their families should be trained in a different model rather than other individuals, the negative effect of the disability situation to the disaster awareness level, earnablity of the basic disaster awareness with the anticipated regular training. Through these results, the research has been concluded by offering suggestions.
