Abstract (EN)

The architectural design of health buildings adapts to the changes and developments in today's living conditions and technology. With these changes, health structures appear as Integrated Health Campuses today. Health structures, which are among the safety priority structures; should continue to function during disasters. The ability to be least affected by these disasters and to continue their functioning depends on the architectural design of health buildings to be considered and made with every aspect. Integrated health campuses include a very important and detailed architectural design in terms of both complexity and size. Therefore, this study examines and evaluates the architectural design decisions of integrated health campuses based on the most common earthquake, fire and pandemic disasters in our country. Kocaeli Integrated Health Campus, designed by Gümüşdoğrayan Architecture, was chosen as the field study and the project was evaluated in terms of earthquake, fire and pandemic safety. The impact and importance of architectural decisions on disaster safety of health buildings are emphasized.
