A construction project's success depends not only on its completion but also on effective project management, which ensures value delivery and sustains a company's market presence by securing new or returning clients. This research aims to guide project managers and stakeholders in understanding and maximizing the benefits of project management knowledge areas that enhance project performance. This research adopts a case study approach focused on an EPCM project, utilizing both primary and secondary data. Data was gathered from project documentation such as reports, forms, matrices, letters, and drawings as well as from face-to-face interviews with key professionals and direct observations. This data collection was complemented by an extensive literature review covering construction project phases, sector-specific project management standards, project management knowledge areas, and performance measurement models that contribute to project success. The analysis highlights that integration, scope, schedule, cost and quality management are important determinants for the project management performance, while resource, procurement and financial management have lesser impacts. Furthermore, time, cost, and quality and client satisfaction emerge as essential attributes of successful project outcomes, with project manager experience identified as the most critical success factors. The multi-criteria performance measurement framework developed in this study provides a practical tool for construction project stakeholders to establish an internal performance measurement system and integrate key performance indicators. This framework maintains awareness of project progress across various metrics. By implementing this tool, project managers and stakeholders are expected to enhance project outcomes and contribute to more sustainable success within the construction sector.
