Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to investigate bullying behaviors in adolescent and the power of the adolescent-parent and adolescent-peer relations for predicting bullying status. This research is an descriptive study. The sample was compused of 595 high school student from 9th, 10th, and 11th grades. Revised Olweus Bully-Victim Questionnaires (Senior Version), Adolescent-Mother, Father Relations Scale, Peer Relations Scale, and Demographic Information Form were utilized for the data collection. The data were analyzed via descriptive statistics and logistic regression analysis. The findings of this study revelead that; 67 student identified as bullies (11.26%), 76 student as victims (12.77%), 48 student as bully/victims (8.07%), and 404 student as outsiders (67.90%). While the prevalence rate of bully for adolescent girls were similar with the boys; the rate of victim for adolescent girls were higher than the boys, and the rate of bully/victim for adolescent boys were higher than the girls. Again, as the grade level increased, the number of bullies increased and the number of victims tended to decrease. The results of logistic regression showed that as the strength of the parent-child relationship increased among adolescent the possibility of being both a bully and a bully-victim is decreased. Other hand, strength of peer relations increased among adolescent the possibility of being in bully is increased and the possibility of being in victim is decreased.
