The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between adolescents' attitudes towards social media and narcissism. In this context, the relationship between adolescents' attitudes towards social media and narcissism was investigated in terms of gender, class, type of school, duration of use of social media sites and frequency of visit to these sites, average duration spent on sites per day, frequency of posting on social media and number of friends/followers on social media. The population of this research is compromised of adolescents. The sample of the research includes randomly selected students from 9, 10, 11, 12 grade in Technical Anatolian High School and Anatolian High School in Kepez, Antalya. "Social Media Attitude Scale", "Narcissism Scale" and "Personal Information Form" were used to collect data. The data were analyzed by using SPSS21 program. In the analysis of the data obtained, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Tukey's test and multiple regression analysis were used. As a result of the study, it was found that the scores of sub-dimensions of the adolescents' attitudes towards social media (social competence, need of sharing, relationship with teachers and social isolation) were differed in terms of gender, class, type of school, duartion of use of social media, frequency of visit, average duration spent on social media, frequency of posting on social media, the number of friends / followers on social media. The results also demonstrate that there is no significant difference in the adolescents' scores of the sub-dimensions of narcissism scale (power and exhibitionism) in terms of gender, class and type of school while there is significant difference in terms of duration of use of social media, frequency of visit, average duration spent on social media, frequency of posting on social media, the number of friends / followers on social media. The findings show that social competence and need of sharing, a sub-dimension of adolescents' attitudes towards social media, predicted exhibitionism, a sub-dimension of narcissism. In addition, it is concluded that need of sharing was a predictor of power, a sub-dimension of narcissism.
