Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research; to develop a reliable and valid test to specify coding skill levels in early childhood. The research is a survey model study that aims to develop a test in determining the coding skills of 5-7 years old children in early childhood. The sample of the study constitutes 6 independent kindergartens affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the city center of Ağrı in the 2020-2021 academic year, and 143 children in 8 kindergartens in primary schools, 1st and 2nd classes; 7 independent kindergartens affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the city center of Gaziantep, 7 kindergartens in primary schools, 165 children 1st and 2nd grades, 308 children in total in both provinces. As a data collection tool in research; "Personal Information Form" containing personal information about children and their parents and "Early Childhood Coding Skills Test" with form A, developed by the researcher to evaluate the coding skill levels of 5-7 years old children, and the "Early Childhood Coding Skills Test", which evaluates the validity and reliability study of the unplugged coding skill levels and the "Early Childhood Coding Skills Test" Form B was used, which evaluates robotic coding skill levels with the form. In the validity analysis to determine the validity and reliability of the test in the analysis of the data; content-structure validity, criterion-based validity analysis; in reliability analysis; KR-20 reliability analysis, item difficulty and item discrimination index analyzes were used. It is obtained from research; It turned out that the ''Early Childhood Coding Skills Test'' is a successful and reliable tool. As a result, it has been understood that the ''Early Childhood Coding Skills Test'' is a measurement tool that can be used to determine coding skill levels between the ages of 5-7.
