Abstract (EN)
In this study, the stress levels of mothers of children in early childhood with speech sounds disorders were examined. Descriptive and relational survey model was used in the research. The mothers (n: 96) of children diagnosed with speech sounds disorders (SSD) and the mothers of children with typical development (n: 90) participated in this study. In the study, for the personal information "Information Form for Child and Mother", for the speech intelligibility "Turkish Pronunciation and Phonetics Test (TPPT)" and for the mothers' stress levels "Perceived Stress Scale (PSS)" and "Parent Stress Inventory (PSI)" were used. The data obtained from the research were used in descriptive statistical analysis, independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). When the findings obtained from the study were examined, it was found that the stress level of the mothers increased as the level of SSD severity decreased, and the mothers who perceived the level of SSD severity as mildly problematic were more stressed. In addition, younger mothers were found to be more stressed. It was found that the stress level of the mother of the child with SSD was not significantly related to the mother's educational status, employment status, income status, number of children, child's age, gender and therapy duration.
