Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACT War, occupation, destruction, massacre and disasters, economic impossibilities, in short, the young Republic, which was a brand new state rising from the ashes in these impossibilities, focused on urban planning, urban planning and construction works after security and innovations. The declaration of the Republic in Ankara, which had no zoning status before. After being chosen as the capital city, we see that a contemporary, effective and important architectural style and personality was implemented and gained. Following the influence of western schools and European architects in the period 1920-1945, the national architectural style was mentioned. In the following period, neoclassical features seen in our country were emphasized. In this research, we examine the effects of the cultural codes and changes seen in the early republic, especially in the architectural structuring, urban planning, written, oral, cultural, social, family and society relations, considering the conditions of the period, and the cultural codes and changes seen in the city center, Ulus and its surroundings, to today's Turkey. We tried to evaluate its effects on cultural code change and policies. In the conclusion section, we discussed the architectural style, urban planning projects, table manners, culinary culture, family relations, and influence it put on social life, the cultural policies produced, the cultural codes in today's urban policies, especially in the Ulus region of Ankara, where the young Republic lived in the period of 1920-1945.
