This study focuses on identifying the emotional characteristics that distinguish Arabic poetry. It traces these characteristics from pre-Islamic poetry through to early Islamic poetry. The study examines the most significant religious, social, and intellectual influences in both the pre-Islamic and Islamic eras. These varied influences have had a substantial and clear impact on enriching Arabic poetry with emotional depth. The study particularly focuses on the poetry of Abdullah bin Rawaha, highlighting the emotional characteristics that distinguished his poetry in both the pre-Islamic and Islamic periods.
