Abstract (EN)

In this study, we discuss about Ermenekian Sulayman Sirri's work Holasatul Mokhtarayn who was on of the last era of Ottomans scholars and died in 1931. Sirri Efendi is an important scholar who wrote in almost all fields of Islamic sciences, especially fiqh, and combained the modern method and the traditional madrasah. Holasatul Mokhtarayn is a work that he wrote to teach the book of marriage at Law School. Also, the work can be considered as one of the first attempts to be systematically drafted by a new method in the field of Family Law until the Family Law decreed. We realized that this work, like Sulayman Sirri Efendi's other important works, could not find the attention that it deserved. Hence, we thought that introducing and evaluating such a work and presenting it in a latinized form is a meaningful activity in terms of knowing the work and increasing the benefit from it. In this study, the author Solaiman Sirri Efendi and his work are introduced, and the book that published during Ottoman period is evaluated and its importance is revealed. At the end of this study, the text of Holasatul Mokhtarayn is given to latinize and presented to today's world of science and education.
