Evaluation of the work 'Gülinya Yahod Kendi Görünmeyerek Herkesi Gören Bir Kız' in Turkish with Armenian letters from the point of view of folklore

In this study, Viçen Tilkiyan's work "Gülinya Yahod Kendi Görünmeyerek Herkesi Gören Bir Kız" has been analyzed in the axis of folk life and folk language. Viçen Tilkiyan, who was found to have written works aimed at enlightening the society in the 19th century, clearly reflects these thoughts in his works. What is known about Viçen Tilkiyan consists of the information he gave in his works and the documents that exist about him. According to this, the author, who stated that he was from Ankara in his work, also worked as a book seller and typography in Bab-ı Ali Street. Viçen Tilkiyan didn't remain indifferent to social issues by displaying a moral attitude in his works. At this point, he acted with the socialist art understanding of the 19th century and used art as a tool that serves fort he benefit of society. While doing this, he reflected his knowledge, ideas, characteristics of the period in which he lived, the mentality and language and culture of the society he lived in from a sociological perspective in this work of him. In our study, determinations were made about Viçen Tilkiyan's life and works, and the folkloric elements in Gülinya Yahod Kendi Görünmeyerek Herkesi Gören Bir Kız were analyzed in terms of folk life and folk language. It has been determined that Viçen Tilkiyan actively uses language by giving moral messages to the society against the social harms brought by mis-Westernization and tries to realize them by using folkloric elements.
