Determination of antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of some plants used in medical between adults and people in the erzurum province

In this study, 13 different samples were examinated separately which are grown in the province of Erzurum. This samples are known as wild vegetables and used for medical purpose that are composed of leaves and hides of plants such as Ferula (Ferula comunis L.), Evelik, ( Rumex patientia L.), Acanthus (Gundelia tournefortii L.), Esgin (Rheum ribes L.), Ciris (Asphodeline taurica ), Bird bread (Polygonium arenastrum), Meadow onion (Allium schoenoprasum L.), Yaban Casırı (Ferula orientalis L.). Varius methods were used to determine antioxidant capacities end antimicrobial activities of plant products. Methods that determine antioxidant capacity include; FRAP (ferric ion reducing antioxidant power), DPPH● (free radical), Analysis of total polyphenol, CUPRAC (Cupric Reducing Antioxidant Capacity) and Total flavonoids assay and the method Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) that determines antimicrobial activitiy. According to the results obtained from the antioxidant activity results, Esgin (Rheum ribes L.) plant (EI) obtained from Erzurum province has the highest antioxidant capacity among all analyzes made. On the other hand, in almost all antioxidant analysis methods, the lowest antioxidant activity was Yabani Casir Sap part (YCS) (Ferula Orientalis L.). According to the results obtained from the results of antimicrobial activity, it was observed that the leaf portion (YCY) and the stem portion (YCS) of Wild Spotted Plants showed very good activity against the majority of the test microorganisms among all the plants.
