Abstract (EN)
The subject of our study, Eşfak Ahmed who is one of the most important writer in short story writing in Urdu Literature. In the Thesis, Eşfak Ahmed's life and important works that he added in literature and prose tradition in Urdu Literature includes.He and his contemporaries experienced great developments in Urdu storytelling. Eşfak Ahmed has an important role in short story writing, television and radio broadcasting in Pakistan who was born in the village Muktasar of city Firozpur of İndia in 1925. After completing education, he started to work as a scriptwriter in Pakistan radio and he wrote dramas, novel, poetry and travelogue. He also presented a popular radio programme "Talqeen Shah" which made him popular in the people in town and village. Eşfak Ahmed who was a recipient of the "President's Pride of Performance" and "Sitare-i İmtiaz" for his meritorious services in the field of literature and broadcasting, he died in 2004. In our study, Urdu Literature by taking current, Eşfak Ahmed who is the one of the most important writer in Pakistan, his life and works will be addressed by examining the contribution of the literature.
