From April 29, 19016 to October 20, 1918, when he spent his captivity, General Townshend recognized turks and made an impression and influence among Turks in accordance with his own structure. The dissatisfied approaches of the Turks were as a mediator's statement of gratitude for the end of the captivity lives of him and the British soldiers. General Townshend criticised his British diploma during his return home. He said he wanted to see Turkey not as a hostile country, but as an ally that needed to be won.
