Abstract (EN)
Eschatology myths indicate the events that will be experienced regarding the end of earthly life. Throughout history, humankind has not only been concerned with how the universe was created, but also with the end to be experienced. In this context, the phenomena of the messiah and the mahdi have continued their existence in the historical process until today, caused serious cases and seriously affected religious traditions. The concept of messiah appears in many religious traditions. The common point of this concept is that he is a savior-king figure who will come before the apocalypse, who will eliminate the enemies of the people and provide peace, justice, and prosperity. In the historical process, the interaction of Shia with Judaism and Christianity has shown itself especially in terms of the concepts of messiah and mahdi. It is known that the idea of Christ is very important both in Judaism and Christianity. Especially in Judaism, the interaction with Zoroastrianism, depending on the events that took place during the times of exile, led to the emergence of the idea of Christ over time. In the light of all this information, the Mahdism, which represents a liberating expectation belief, has been examined with this study. In the light of the data obtained from the literature and the holy books, the image of the savior as a divine expectation regarding the Mahdism in the Shia tradition, Zoroastrianism, Christianity and Judaism, who is the image of the savior, what qualities it has, when it will appear and what it will do.
