Abstract (EN)
The ancient Turkish religion constitutes a belief system that is formed as the result of the synthesis of the Sky God and Shamanism. Sky Godliness is the system that is formed around a single God. Shamanism, however, is not considered a religion. Shamanism in this respect, rituals under the Thought of God is seen as a belief. These two elements have brought the old Turkish belief system closer to nature. In this belief axis, which accepts nature as sacred, Turks counted water, tree, mountain, forest and other nature elements as a sign of God. On the basis of faith, the elements of nature are given sanctity, and this is revealed with rituals. With the acceptance of Islam by Turks, some beliefs in nature continued. Today, we are still seeing the impact of these beliefs. In this context, what kind of effects the old Turkish religion had for the Turks after Islam is generally examined. In addition, the subject is reduced to private, and the importance of nature cults, which are considered the foundations of the old Turkish belief, leave traces in Muslim Turks and the applications they go on are emphasized.
