Özet (EN)

Collocations are meaningful word combinations formed by two or more words often coming together. The concept of collocation, which was first used by Firth in 1957 in its modern sense, was developed by Halliday and Sinclair. There are two approaches, frequency-based and meaning-based. The representatives of the frequency-based approach are Firth, Halliday, and Sinclair, while the representatives of the meaning-based approach are, Howarth, and Mel'cuk. In this study, with the help of a corpus composed of Old Uyghur Turkish texts from the Old Turkish period, the criteria for determining collocations and collocation classifications were taken into consideration.
