Abstract (EN)
Purification is a religious ritual practiced in almost every society. For this reason, we will try to give place to rituals that affect the peoples living in the geography we are taking part in. Historians have referred to the eastern roots of purification in the Greek world and have provided us with comparative evidence. We will try to present the transformation of this change in the historical process. Although the concept of purification has been realized with different practices in every society, its importance has not changed. First of all, in ancient Greece, the concept of purification and its origins and then the transformation of purification in time will be examined. As a matter of fact, we will try to explain the widening rituals of the Hittites, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Roman, Jewish and Christian beliefs and the extent to which this issue has spread over a period of time and seen by many societies as a beginning and foundation of religious faith.
