Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, concentrations of atmospheric pollutants on fine particles were determined in Eskişehir in 2013 and 2014. The concentrations 48 trace metals, 7 anions, 16 PAHs, 25 n-alkanes, carboxylic acids, levoglucosan, and organic and elemental carbon in fine particles were measured. Data set was evaluated by using statistical techniques. Relation of pollutant concentrations with meteorological parameters was also investigated. Positive matrix factorization (PMF) was applied to data set for source apportionment. Besides that, organic and elemental carbon concentrations were used to calculate the secondary organic aerosol concentrations hypothetically. In general, it was observed that concentrations of particulate matter, PAHs, n-alkanes, organik carbon, elemental carbon and anions increased in winter time due to heating activities. Similarly anthropogenic metal concentrations increased in winter time. The most dominant factor affecting the concentrations of the fine organic particles in the sampling location was determined as domestic heating with percent contribution of 26%. Road dust, secondary organic particles and industry are determined as the other factors, respectively by using positive matrix factorization. The contribution of secondary organic carbon to total mass of PM2.5 was determined by EC tracer approach and 11% of fine aerosol was calculated secondary.
