Abstract (EN)

Turkey is located within the borders of the native land of pomegranate. Pomegranate is distributed in many regions from the coastal regions to the microclimate areas in the inner regions of Anatolia. Since it is one of the native lands of pomegranate, there are many pomegranate varieties and types in Anatolia. There are also many wild pomegranate genotypes in Anatolian's nature. The aim of this study is to determine the pomological properties, biochemical properties and anthocyanin components of 10 wild pomegranate genotypes selected from Eskişehir - Mihalgazi district, which has a microclimate climate. As a result of the research, it was determined that the wild pomegranate genotypes were small-fruited and had very high fruit TSS and acid content. It was determined that the wild pomegranate genotypes showed a wide variation in terms of biochemical properties and anthocyanin compounds. The determination of the pomological and biochemical structure of these wild genotypes will support future pomegranate breeding studies.
