Özet (EN)

Violence against women has become one of the most important social problems of our time. The subject of the study is the spatial distribution of violence against women in Odunpazarı district of Eskişehir. The research, which uses quantitative research methods, consists of two parts. The first part is based on the distribution of violence against women by neighborhood. Violence against women focuses on the spatial differentiation of the neighborhood according to socioeconomic structure, educational background, marital status and occupation. This section is compatible with positivist epistemology because the research questions are objective. The research questions were accepted as ontological external reality and the spatial distribution of crimes against women was described using secondary data. In addition, the interaction between crime and variables was examined with statistical methods. Police records were used as secondary data sources. The second section focuses on how perpetrators of violence against women are perceived in the districts of Odunpazari district and how they view the violence against women. In this section, a data collection tool has been developed to achieve this aim. The acts of violence against women are handled with their physical, psychological, sexual and economic dimensions. As a result of the study, it was found that there is a significant relationship between socioeconomic status, occupation, education level, neighborhood viewpoint of the inhabitants of violence against women and acts of violence against women. It has been seen that acts of violence against women constitute spatial clusters.
