Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Hastanesi Aile Hekimliğine başvuran 45 yaş ve üstü bireylerde kardiyovasküler risk faktörlerinin değerlendirilmesi ve risk skorlamasi

Cardiovascular diseases are one of the most important causes of mortality and morbidity in the world and in our country. According to WHO data, there were an estimated 17.9 million deaths due to cardiovascular disease in 2019, accounting for 32% of all global deaths. The aim of this study is to perform risk assessment using SCORE-2 and TKD's risk scoring system in individuals aged 45 and over who applied to Eskişehir Osmangazi University Health, Practice and Research Hospital Family Medicine Polyclinic. The aim is to prevent and reduce cardiovascular events through treatment applied to high risk individuals after risk assessment. The research was conducted at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Health Practice and Research Hospital Family Medicine Polyclinic between 31.10.2023- 28.02.2024. The research is a descriptive-type cross-sectional study. The research is a descriptive type cross sectional study. When the participants were classified according to their TKD risk values, 61.6% (n = 80) were found to be low risk, 29.2% (n = 38) were medium risk, and 9.2% (n = 12) were high risk. When participants were classified according to SCORE-2 risk values, 22.3% (n = 29) were at low-medium risk, 43.9% (n = 57) were at high risk and 33.8% (n = 44) were at high risk. It was found to be very high risk. Family medicine has a very important place in determining the CVD risk level and preventing these diseases, as in other chronic diseases. Family physicians identify CVD risk factors and guide people in developing behaviors such as healthy eating, exercising, and quitting smoking and alcohol. In addition, increasing awareness through periodic health screenings in primary health care institutions contributes to the prevention and control of the development of Diabetes mellitus, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia and CVD.
