Özet (EN)
Weaving the oldest method of fabric creation, has been practiced in almost every region of Anatolia and has become a source of income for people over time in line with the needs. Plain weavings, which are one of the techniques used to create weaving surfaces, are discussed through Sivrihisar district of the Eskişehir province. It is possible to say that there was no weaving activity in Sivrihisar district for many years, where we can find examples of plain weaving from the past periods. However, this situation changed with the Sivrihisar Applies Rug Museum opened in 2020. In the museum, surfaces made with kilim, cicim and zili techniques made in the past years are exhibited, while weaving is also carried out in another section. The exhibited products were classified and analyzed in terms of surface features such as technique, motifs and color with their original photographs. The shuttle weaving technique was investigated based on the weaving samples made in Dağküplü village of Sarıcakaya district of Eskişehir province. The samples of covers, towels, sheets and tablecloth found in the region were produced using the shuttle weaving technique. The information obtained in line with the examples reached was analyzed and presented together with product photographs. Weaving activities continued until the 1980s in the village where a limited number of silk and cotton products were available. Weaving is not practiced in the village today.
