Abstract (EN)

Aluminum casting alloys are observed to be used in automotive, aviation and different sectors due to their properties such as strength, durability, conductivity etc. As their use increases day by day, an increase in the quality of the castings is expected. For this reason, the quality of aluminum castings should be directly proportional to the constantly developing technology. Depending on the increase in quality expectations from aluminum casting alloys, studies are continuing on making castings with different alloy element additions and using new technologies in production. In this study, Etial160 aluminum alloy was cast in 4 different permanent molds, namely without addition, with 0.03% niobium addition, with 0.05% niobium addition and with 0.1% niobium element addition. During the examination of the experiment, liquid metal quality, fluidity, microstructure and mechanical properties were taken into consideration and evaluated.
