Özet (EN)

According to Plato, the good and the beautiful have separate ideas. It is necessary to agree with these ideas in order to be good and beautiful. When speaking of the good, Plato also mentions that the good is the highest principle of existence. According to Plato, it is the most basic principle of existence that enables the understanding of the good, sensible and conceivable world. This pure good principle is beautiful in essence, and this beauty is unseen beauty. According to Plato, the beauty is the first to be noticed. If it is good, the appearance is not given. In order to be good and beautiful, the soul and body must comply with the measure and proportion determined by this principle. While Plato brings measure and proportion together with good and beautiful at the common point, he distances them from each other with invisibility and form. Plato said that the essence of goodness and beauty are in the same place. The good is the essence of spiritual beauty by the sheer goodness of the highest principle. The object is beautiful only in its form, because the objects have a share of the beautiful idea which is pure form. If utility is the determinant of beauty, it can also be defined with good. According to Plato, beauty cannot be a reason for the existence of the good, which is the cause itself. Because why cannot be its own cause, it may be the cause of what it creates. Kant, on the other hand, made a distinction by arguing about interest in good and beautiful. Good always carries an interest. In order to say something good, one must know what it is. So good needs a grip. In order to call something beautiful, we don't need to know what your object is. Beautiful therefore does not need to grip. Good is always desired to be achieved. This desire keeps the interest in its existence permanent. If it is beautiful, it only comes from watching. Many frivolous, useless things are found beautiful by pure viewing and pleasant because they are found beautiful. Kant says that the object is found beautiful first and liking occurs later. If good is determined by law and turned into an object of compulsory liking. Kant declared the beauty in nature the symbol of this moral good. The analysis of the good and the beautiful in an ethical-aesthetic context is made through the approaches of these two philosophers, and their similarities, differences and relationships have been tried to be revealed.
