Abstract (EN)
In today's rapidly developing technology, human resources with different abilities are at a central point for professional organizations. For this reason, professional organizations try to understand the needs and expectations of their employees more and aim to benefit from their human resources as much as possible. Considering that human resource is the most important resource of organizations and is under the influence of very complex dynamics, the importance of studies to understand the emotions and thoughts of employees comes to the fore. In this study, it has been tried to determine how employees' work engagement levels are affected by the ethical climate and the meaningfulness of work. Determining how individuals' ethical climate perceptions, which are formed as a result of their evaluation of organizational processes, their inner worlds and their own value judgments, and how the bond they have established with their work as a result of attributing meaning to their work through similar processes are affected, will help organizations to make the subject more understandable. The sample group of the research consists of the academic and administrative staff of Artvin Coruh University. The data obtained within the scope of the research were analysed through the SPSS statistical package program. According to the findings, it has been concluded that the ethical climate and the meaningfulness of the work have an effect on the level of work engagement of the employees. In addition, it has been understood that the ethical climate has an effect on the meaningfulness of the work. Although it is possible for people with a complex structure to reach different results in similar events, it is a necessity for organizations to examine the essential concepts that increase the level of employee engagement to work and to determine strategies accordingly. For this reason, instead of waiting for the concepts of ethical climate and the meaning of work, whose effects on work engagement were determined within the scope of the research, to take shape in the inner world of the employees, measures should be taken with a proactive approach to help employees feel that they work in an ethical work environment and to attribute meanings that add value to their work.
