Employment and social empowerment of women in families providing disabled care services at home: Ankara Pursaklar my future is in my hand project example

Working life, apart from being an economic activity for women who provide care services to disabled people at home, can be a means of social participation and improving the social well-being of the family. The subject of this research is the employment of women who provide care in the family or women who are able to work in families with disabilities who receive care. The idea that women who maintain disabled care at home will positively affect the quality of care they give to the disabled to connect to social life with production is the main subject of this research. Pursaklar Social Service Center 'Maintenance Disabled Detection and Care Service Guidelines on Determination of the Women Applicants who receive assistance within the framework of the directive ', or in addition to gaining the profession to increase the employability of women who can work in the same house, it is aimed to have a pleasant time with personal development trainings and workshops and thus to ensure their socialization. Determining whether to increase the indirectly disabled welfare is the main aim of this research. This research offers unique aims, methods and results both in theory and in practice, in terms of taking the problem family-based, providing a hands-on solution to the problem of the research, and its focus providing a complete example of social work practice. It was revealed that there was a unique study in this area in the litareture scan. As a research method, it has been applied to show the theory and practice that are two aspects of social service; employment in the field of application of women with disabilities at home, and, the orientation to social activity and education has been adopted in theory by conducting in-depth interviews to achieve scientific results. Very positive findings have been reached in terms of positive contributions to the disabled welfare of the project applied in interviews with the in-depth interview technique in the research process. As a result of the research, suggestions were made to spread similar examples, increase preventive services, welfare of disabled families and to take more responsibility for social life participation of families with disabilities.
