Abstract (EN)

This study delves into the escalating trend of wedding tourism, with a particular emphasis on the preferences of Indian couples for Türkiye as their chosen wedding destination. Through a comprehensive examination of the available literature, this research investigates the underlying motivations prompting Indian couples to select Türkiye for their wedding ceremonies. Furthermore, it aims to scrutinize the cultural and economic ramifications of this burgeoning trend. By shedding light on the factors influencing this preference, the study aims to offer important insights into the dynamics of wedding tourism, thus guiding stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality industries. The findings underscore Türkiye's appeal due to factors such as accessibility, affordability, cultural offerings, culinary diversity, honeymoon opportunities, guest entertainment, luxury amenities, challenges in India, and the younger generation's inclination towards unique experiences. Consequently, this research seeks to create an original scale to enhance the comprehension of emerging trends in wedding tourism and their effects on both the industry and international cultural exchange.
