The unity of the micro world and art as an attempt to make sense of the universe

In order to make sense of the universe, this study considers the close relationships that fields such as physics, biology, chemistry and their sub-branches, philosophy, and religion establish with the micro world, and the micro world-specific studies that these relationships reveal, and considers the micro world of art, which is thought to be an important and effective way in the attempt to make sense of the universe. It describes his relationship with. The human effort to define himself, the world he lives in, and the universe stems from his desire to exist in the universe, to understand it, and to interact with it. This desire can be satisfied through scientific, philosophical and religious perspectives. The ways of making sense of the universe are also highly related to the progress of technology. However, art, which has been in close contact with all these fields and developments since ancient times and today, deals with the relationship between humans and the universe in a multifaceted way. The bond established by art with different fields has paved the way for the emergence of many interdisciplinary studies in the past and today. It is thought that one of the mentioned associations is the relationship between the micro world and art. For this reason, it was examined how and to what extent the relationship between art and the micro world was reflected in art works in the past and today. In this concentration, research has been conducted on fields such as sociology and philosophy, but mainly on microscopic levels such as biology and its sub-branches such as microbiology, molecular biology and genetics. The development of the study was achieved by reading different fields and disciplines together, as well as by focusing on the differences between reality and fiction and the accompanying possibilities of what living things will be like in the future. In addition to all the relationships established with the theoretical and practical approaches of different thinkers and artists, original designs consisting of three series made in different techniques about the close contact between the micro world and art were obtained. In order to examine the counterpart of this relationship in plastic arts, we first focused on the ways in which the universe was defined in the historical movement, from ancient philosophy to the modern period. In addition, the philosophical explanation of the concept of perspective was used to understand the macro level, which is considered impossible to think independently of the micro level, and to explain both levels. Original ideas and observations are included in order to discuss the problem of the study, which is based on revealing, making visible and showing what is known. At the same time, emphasis was placed on the study of microorganisms, especially bacteria and viruses, which cannot be considered independently of the micro-world, and artistic practices associated with these microorganisms were investigated. The study, which was enriched by reading the theories and criticisms of thinkers from different periods and disciplines in order to understand and explain the universe and its meaning, together with various concepts, focuses on the discussion of the concepts of strange, strange and anomaly, which are one of its main inquiries. Considering this information, information was obtained about how the micro-world and art, which are thought to have an important place in attempts to make sense of the universe, are related despite their different functioning, and the equivalent of theories, concepts and developments related to the micro-world in artistic practices.
