Export incentives in Turkey and analysis to measure the efficiency of Türk Eximbank

Without a doubt particularly for developing countries economic growth is the main trigger for such improvement. In that sense export is one of the effective measures for level of economic growth. For that reason countries encourage firms to expand internationally and introduce their products to oversea countries. So as to do that they give priority to export incentives. In this thesis export incentives implemented in Turkey is explained in the scope of Decree Regarding State Aid on Exports by Ministry of Economy, KOSGEB supports, exemptions on VAT, other taxes, charges and fees, privileges in free trade zones, export supports according to customs regimes and firms which have special status. On the other hand, export credits and insurances provided by the only official export credit agency in Turkey, Turk Eximbank, is explained with details and the efficiency of Eximbank is measured according to below criteria: - The percentage of Eximbank financing with its assets among total export, - The share of Eximbank supports among total export - The ratio of supported firms by Eximbank among total exporters - The share of Eximbank's export credits balance among total export credit balance
