Abstract (EN)
Eyüp region has come to the fore with its religious and mystical character throughout its history. Especially the Ottoman period is a golden age for the Eyüp region. Despite industrialization process, Eyüp region is still the most important visiting center after the holy lands due to the Eyüp Sultan Tomb. The Bektashi Sect is one of the sects had been active in Eyüp. Bektashism, which originated in the 13th century, advanced in the light of the teachings of Haji Bektaş Veli. Bektashi sect, became an indispensable part of the Ottoman state's conquest policy in Beyazıt II period. They had assumed the spiritual education of the Janissary Quarry and had become state- mandated. In 1826, Bektashism was abolsihed and Bektashi tekkes were closed. In Abdülmecid period, Bektashi tekkes were re-established and put into operation. However, the Bektashi tekkes demolished once more in republican era. Despite being idle, some of the tekke structures could survived. However some of them could not survived and destroyed. Generally, tekkes are formed under three main headings; ritual unit, accommodation unit and treasury / mausoleum. When the architectural typologies of the tekkes are examined, it is not possible to create a tekke typology according to the religious sects. Considering that dervish tekkes were used by different sects during the periods, it was observed that the sects made additions and subtractions in the tekkes according to their beliefs and rituals. In addition, tekke terminology also differs among the sects. Also, Bektashi sect has different spaces and terminologies (Aşevi, Kiler evi, etc.). Within the scope of this study, the Karyağdı Baba Bektashi Tekke which established in Eyüp, was researched and conservation concepts had been examined as a 200 years old Bektashi structure. Tekke complex was examined on-site and surveys were taken. Literature studies have been made and similar examples have been examined. As a result of the researches, a two-term restitution project was made for the building and three conservation concepts have been prepared for the preservation of tekke ruins.
