Abstract (EN)

This thesis focuses on leveraging the opportunities provided by Industry 4.0 and internet of things (IoT) technologies to collect and analyze data in factory environments using the long range (LoRa) communication protocol. The study, the advantages of the LoRa communication protocol, such as its long-range communication capability and low energy consumption, were highlighted as a solution to the high installation costs and flexibility issues of traditional wired systems.Specially designed data collection modules integrated into press machines recorded real-time data on machine operation and downtime, as well as error information. This data was transmitted via the LoRa protocol to a central gateway and stored in an SQL-based database. The data was then visualized through an interface that allowed users to monitor production processes. Developed using Visual Studio and C#, this interface enabled users to track, analyze, and intervene in production processes when necessary. The results demonstrate that LoRa-based systems provide a cost-effective, flexible, and energy-efficient solution, optimizing production processes and enhancing operational efficiency. This study shows that LoRa technology has significant potential for industrial automation, offering a guiding example for similar projects in the field.
