The meanings Farabi attributed to the concepts of the Qur'an and the design of religion

In the golden age of Islam Ebu Nasr Muhammed bin Tarhan bin Uzluğ bin Turhan Al-Farabî et Turkî el Muallimus's-Sani (Second Educator) (258/870-339/950) is regarded as the founding philosopher who carried out the most systematic and comprehensive philosophical studies in Islamic Philosophy. Even if Aristotle's ideas about the existence and Plato's approach about society dominates the approach of Farabi, he thinks thatboth philosophers have the same truth with different methods and shapes hisQur'anic concepts and the Islamic thought and philosophy according to these ideas. In our study, first of all we gave information about Fârâbî's life, his scientific personality and his works in order to understand Fârâbî's thoughts. In the second chapter, we put forward the meaning circle of the concepts of philosophy and religion, and discussed on how the issue dealt in Islamic philosophy tradition. We tried to put forward the meanings of some concepts used in the philosophy tradition and the Qur'an in both fields. In the third chapter, we analyzed the nature of the relationship between Philosophy and Religion in Fârâbî's system. In this context, we tried to analyze God imagination, the concept of Philosophy and Religion by examining the Conception of Religion in Fârâbî's works. In this study, we tried to examine all the works of Farabi by focusing on especially Al-Medinet al-Fadila, es-Siyaset al-Medeniyye, Kitâbu'l-Huruf, İhsâuyel-Ulûm and Tahsilu es-Saade. We will try to understand the philosophy of Farabi, who guided the history of Islamic thought and guided the framework plan of Islamic philosophy with his philosophy, formed with the meanings attributed to religious concepts.
