Abstract (EN)

Selenium (Se) is an important trace element that maintains normal brain function, mainly due to its antioxidant properties. Research shows that Se has a variety of bioactivities, including the ability to protect the liver. Selenomethionine (Se-Met), a natural organic selenium compound, is the main chemical form of Se and has been used more in Se studies in recent years due to its high bioavailability and low toxicity. In this study, the effect of selenium methionine on the expression of MsrB1, Caspase-3 and Gadd45 genes in the liver and brain of mice was examined. SYBR Green real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method was used to analyze the expression of genes. Statistical data analysis chart by GraphPad Software Inc. It was done using a computer program with Prism 6 software. According to the findings of our research, significant changes were detected in the expression of these genes in the liver and brain of mice using SeMet. The effect of SeMet on the expression of these genes in the liver and brain of mice was examined for the first time. The data we obtained need to be revised and confirmed with larger studies.
