Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, the effects of different aggregate and mineral admixture types on the properties of permeable geopolymer concrete were investigated. Three different types of aggregates were used in the study: crushed stone aggregate (CA), natural aggregate (NA), and recycled concrete aggregate (RCA). As mineral admixtures, fly ash (FA), ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS), and a 50% FA - 50% GGBFS mixture were utilized to produce various permeable geopolymer concrete series. The produced concrete series were subjected to two different curing methods: oven curing and air curing. Concrete specimens were prepared in 100x100x100 mm cubes and 100x200 mm cylinders. Several tests were conducted on the produced permeable geopolymer concrete series, including unit weight, total void ratio, constant head permeability test, water absorption, compressive strength, and splitting tensile strength tests. The experimental results revealed that different aggregate and mineral admixture types and curing methods significantly affected the performance of permeable geopolymer concretes. Crushed stone aggregate positively impacted mechanical properties compared to natural and recycled concrete aggregates. Regarding curing conditions, oven curing was found to enhance compressive strength. Ground granulated blast furnace slag demonstrated the best mechanical strength performance among the mineral admixtures.
