Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the being fried properties of Balıkesir ? Sındırgı ? Düvertepe alunitic kaolin and to research the effects of being fried to the structure.Mineralogy of the kaolin samples calcined between 400-1200 ° C temperatures, were investigated by comparing the optical and physical properties.As a result; it?s been observed that kaolin with more alunite has more frying streght and frying involution but their water absorbation capacity is less than others.It?s been identified that kaolinic structure after 600 °C calcination and alunitic structure after 800 °C calcination retreat from the body as a result of disintegration. The color values of the kaolin have been watched after being fried and the kaolin with the highest amount of alunite has been abserved to be whiter compared to other kaolin.According to the results; Alunite kaolin is found in the forming process to be applied to a kaolin sample is not suitable for ceramic materials, paper, cement and suitable for the production of a kaolin sample jeopolimer.
