Abstract (EN)
In this work, Ti3SiC2 O(max phases) have been obtained with pressureless sintering which has argon atmosphere, with Ti/Si/C, TiC/Si/Ti, TiC/Si/Ti/C, Ti/SiC/C, TiO2/SiO2/Al/C and TiO2/x(SiO2)/Al/C initial powders under different time and temperature combinations. To observe effect of oxided and metallical initial powders on Ti3SiC2 formation, different temperatures (1300, 1400 and 1500) and different processing times (2, 3 and 4 hours) have been assigned. Then, effect of initial sintering powders, time and temperature on formation of Ti3SiC2 have been investigated. X ray diffraction (XRD) and SEM-EDS analyses have been executed for obtained specimens. Also, to understand structures which formed as a results of reactions happened during experiments, DTA analyses have been made for initial powders. In consequence, ratio, composition and amount of the obtained Ti3SiC2 have been changed with time and temperature. As well as Ti3SiC2, have TiC, SiC Ti5Si3, TiSi2 phases have been formed. It is find out that the composition of initial powders have significant effect on formation of Ti3SiC2, but also give rise to decomposition to TiC and SiC. To manufacture Ti3SiC2, the optimum conditions have been determined.
