Abstract (EN)

In the recent years, the supervisory and the construction permitting agencies increased pressure on the contractors for soil improvements. It is being dictated to the design engineers to consider lower bearing capacities. Hereby soil improvement becomes inevitable especially with the increasing floor numbers. In our country, especially jet-grouting and bore piling companies increased; together with the market competition, building costs became applicable even for the small scaled projects. For the companies, producing and selling flats, pile foundations became an instrument for marketing. Therefore pile groups are researched in this thesis. In this research; in the same soil conditions with the same superstructure, different pile groups with the different number, size and length are researched, it is aimed to obtain an optimum pile group considering the pile settlements, the pile group efficiencies and the costs.
