Abstract (EN)

In this study, fruit extracts of capers (Capparis ovata, Desf.) which was treated with ethanol to investigated the impact of serum adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), Cortisol and glucose (Glu) levels in carp fish (Cyprinus carpio L., 1758). The study has been designed to given acute and sub-chronic (4 and 30 days) and in phase at different doses (0, 5, 10 and 20 ppm) capers (Capparis ovata, Desf.) form of plant extracts to the carp. After this experiment when it is compared with control group, blood serum and ACTH levels in the both phases and 10 ppm, 20 ppm of the dose groups always showed a significant increasement (p<0,05).It is found that levels of Serum cortisol and glucose in 10 and 20 ppm doses of acute phase reduced, and In sub-chronic phase increased statistically significant (p<0,05).The acute phase of the dose group caused a sedative effect in carp. It is thought that, the effects of mediators which are released as a result of immunological responses in sub-chronic phase with (cytokine responses) re-physiological (hormonal homeostasis) regulation forms.
