Abstract (EN)
This study was carried on 120 children (20 of them were controls) who were followed by pediatric neurology and pediatric psychiatry departments of Gazi University. having rolandic or complex partial epilepsy and seizure free period of 6 months, being under monotherapy and right handed, during evaluation period not to have any anxiety or depression disorders and having intelligence score higher than eighty are the mandatory criterias for occupying in the study group. In the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder group, children with individual learning difficulty or major depression or anxiety disorder, physically/sexually abused children and children having families with heavy functional disorder were not attended to the study group. While determining the control group applicants; their teachers were interviewed. last year success level of the patients were examined and controls whose score were between -+2 standard deviation were attended to the study.WICS-R,CPRS,CTRS,KOVAKS-CDİ,STAİ-i were applied to the children in the study group. children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and complex partial seizure had lower scores in general information and verbal IQ. Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder had lower scores in performance IQ. There is no significant difference about total IQ in between groups. Rolandic epileptic children had lower scores only in picture complation subtest. complex partial epileptic children had lower verbal and performance IQ.
