Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the concentrations of PM2.5, NO2, SO2, O3, bacteria, mold, and yeast pollutants were measured in five indoor environments (corridor, living area, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom) of three different houses in different locations in Eskişehir during four seasons. While inorganic and microbiological pollutants were measured using a passive sampling method, PM2.5 concentrations were measured using an online monitoring instrument. The maximum PM2.5 concentration in all houses was measured in the bedroom (average 147.13 ± 27.39 g/m3) during the autumn season in House 3. The maximum concentrations of inorganic gas pollutants were measured in the autumn kitchen of House 2 (124.18 μg/m3), the bedroom of House 2 (118.31 μg/m3), and the summer kitchen of House 2 (22.10 μg/m3). The highest bacterial concentration is in the bathroom (2,140.80 CFU/m3) in the autumn evening sampling of House 1, the mold concentration is in the kitchen (1,0560.03 CFU/m3) in the spring midday period of House 2, and the yeast concentration is in the bedroom (71.84 CFU/m3) in the spring midday sampling of House 1 measured. The types and concentrations of activities in the houses, the number of people living, the season, the type and frequency of ventilation, and other factors were shown to perform an important role in the results. Regression and correlation analyses were used to analyze the relationship between pollutant levels and environmental temperature and humidity levels, as well as the relationship between pollutants. Furthermore, non-carcinogenic health risk calculation values for PM2.5 and microbiological contaminants were considered, with HQ values of <1 observed in all houses.
