Abstract (EN)

The combined use of probiotics and prebiotics creates a synergistic effect and increases the number of live probiotic cells in the intestine. Prebiotics are indigestible molecules containing sugar polyols that can be obtained naturally or synthetically. They nourish intestinal microorganisms located in the gastrointestinal tract, inhibit the growth of pathogenic microorganisms due to the ability to significantly improve their metabolic activity, improve digestion, nutrient absorption capacity and the immune system. Prebiotics have the ability to persist in acidic environments and maintain resistance to various digestive enzymes in the small intestine, thereby enabling the growth of beneficial intestinal microorganisms that ferment and lead to the production of short-chain fatty acids. Our aim in this study is to determine the biological activities of probiotic bacteria isolated from colostrum and five different prebiotic sources by cultivating them in media formulated with different combinations. The synbiotics to be obtained with different formulations in the study will reveal their potential to be used in many areas such as food, cosmetics, animal health and will create a rich source in terms of designing products in a form suitable for use.
