Abstract (EN)

11 SUMMARY A RESEARCH ON FATTY ACID COMPOSITION OF SOME TISSUES OF RAINBOW TROUTS {Onchorhynchus mykiss) RAISED IN DIFFERENT FISH FARMS IN ERZURUM. This study was conducted to determine the differences in the fatty acid profiles in adipose, gonad, liver and musceles tissues of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) fed by feeds manufactured. The results showed that adipose tissue was rich in terms of MUF A and poor n3 (PUFA), respectively. In gonad tissue, the percentage amount of SFA and MUFA were found close to each other, while the amount of n3 (PUFA) was higher compared to adipose tissue. Liver among the tissues examined in this study, was containing the highest amount of n3 (PUFA), and significant differences (P<0.01) were observed in the n3 (PUFA) percentages of the same tissues obtained from trouts grown in different fish farms. In addition, it was found out that the quantity of n6 (PUFA) was less in total PUFA concentration. Muscle tissues was similar to liver in terms of fatty acid profiles in which percentages of SFAs were mostly more than those of MUF As. Particularly ratio n3 (PUFA) in muscle tissues of trouts obtained from Pasinler Fish Farm was higher than those from other farms. Based on our results, the fact that fatty acid ingredients of foods has important role in the development of tissue structures of fishes, therefore, there were significant differences (PO.01) in the fatty acid profiles of tissues of fishes fed by different diets in the farms. An important essential fatty acid, EPA (20:5 n3) could not observed in the tissues of fishes from all of the farms, except for these fromTortum. Another essential fatty acid, DHA (22:6 n3) was found in all the tissues at relatively high percentage, but low in adipose tissue.
